Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park
1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway, Ohio 43119
This park features more than 7,000 acres of forest, prairies and wetlands. It stretches along 13 miles of the Big and Little Darby creeks, both State and National Scenic Rivers. Besides the areas surrounding the creeks, there are also over 1,600 acres of restored wetlands and prairies. Bison roam freely within two enclosed pastures, near the Nature Center.

Scioto Grove Metro Park

A 620-acre park along the Scioto River with mature forests and scenic bluffs overlooking the river with trails, picnic areas. Dogs on leashes are welcome throughout the park, which also features a sledding hill.

The Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for recreation programming including, but not limited to: aquatics, environmental education, preschool classes, preschool enrichment, youth and teen enrichment, after-school and before-school child care, gardening enrichment and education, youth and adult individual and team sports, adult enrichment, community special events, older adult (55-plus years) enrichment and health and wellness programming.
For those who enjoy trails, there are nearly 29 miles of paved bicycle routes that connect residential areas to parks and retail stores.

Fryer Park and Century Village  
3899 Orders Road, Grove City
At Fryer Park, there is a unique Century Village from the 1800s, complete with a one-room schoolhouse, log cabin, barn and blacksmith. It is free and open to the public on the fourth Saturdays from 2-4 p.m., June through September as well as during festivals.

The park also boasts a splash pad; eight softball diamonds with a concession stand; a preserved wooded area for bird watching or nature walks; a one-mile recreational trail for walking or biking; a sledding hill; and Discovery Frontier, an all-accessible playground featuring a space theme. Rotary Lake at Fryer Park is an ideal location for scenic picnics or fishing. No fishing license is required, but all fish must be immediately released.

Gantz Park   
2255 Home Road, Grove City
Enjoy beautiful rolling terrain, perfect for picnics and other gatherings. The two-story barn was renovated in 1988 to accommodate a variety of youth activities, including the RecSchool early childhood program. The Gardens at Gantz Farm is a public herb garden with an estimated 10,000 visitors per year. Both the gardens and the farmhouse also are used for programming. The entire eastern side of the park has been designated as the Gantz Park Arboretum. 

Henceroth Park
2075 Mallow Lane, Grove City
This is a 22-acre eco-friendly park with a wooded nature trail, solar lighting and playground equipment made entirely from recycled materials. Enjoy a walk/run/bike path with exercise equipment, a butterfly garden and bluebird boxes, and a number of military tributes, including the Purple Heart Memorial Walk.

Splash Pad at Fryer Park

The bright, colorful interactive water play structures follow Discovery Frontier’s space theme and include a rocket slide and a variety of whimsical spray effects with accessibility for all.

Windsor Park

It’s the oldest community-sized park in Grove City, which houses the city’s youth baseball program. It is also home to Mirolo Dream Field at Mount Carmel Stadium for players of all abilities featuring a special rubberized surface navigable for those using wheelchairs, crutches and walkers. www.gcdreamfield.com

The park includes a traditional playground, as well as the Mirolo Dream Field Playground, an innovative play space designed to meet the needs of people of all ages and abilities.  

The Evans Center, also located at Winsor Park, is a 14,000-square-foot center that serves as the epicenter for activities for the community’s adults age 55 and older.

Grove City Community Disc Golf Course

Grove City Skate Park

Built in 2006, the Grove City Skate Park features an 11,000-square-foot concrete skate park providing areas for the novice skater to the highly skilled including ramps, rails and boxes as well as bowls with sides ranging 3 to 18 feet high.
